Noyo Center Summer Camp returns for the summer of 2026! Campers will visit different locations each day, including the Marine Field Station in Noyo Harbor, home to our purple urchin ranch and Slack Tide electric boat for harbor tours; Discovery Center Science Museum, home to the Ocean Immersion Dome theatre and a variety of marine science exhibits; the Crow’s Nest Interpretive Center on the Noyo Headlands featuring an aquarium with live sea creatures; and hikes along coastal trails and area beaches. Through games, art projects, and other activities we hope to broaden your child’s awareness of the beauty of the Mendocino coastline and expand their knowledge of marine science and the ocean. This camp is a very active outdoor camp, full of all-day movement and activity - we tire our campers out!

Camps are 10:00 am-3:00 pm each day.

Note: Due to the popularity of our camps, we are allowing families to register for multiple weeks of camps. If you would like to be on a waitlist for a camp that is unavailable, please email info@noyocenter.org

Our camp format is consistent from week to week, so if a camper is enrolled for two camps, they will revisit similar activities and some of the same outdoor locations as they did in their first session.

Noyo Center Summer Camp: Science Week
Ages 11-14
$350

July 27-31, 2026: Register Here

Science Week is an amazing opportunity for your child to learn more about the wonders of our beautiful coast! This week of summer camp is curated to offer more science exploration for campers who like to investigate the natural world in some of our favorite locations. Just like the Noyo Center Summer Camp for younger campers, we visit a different location each day, but this week our older audience dives deeper into the science of the things we encounter. Each day, whether hiking in a redwood forest, along the coastal terrace, or along our precious beaches, campers will investigate the history of this region’s ecological development over millions of years and learn more about how to be better stewards to our beautiful coast. Over the course of this week, campers will visit the Marine Field Station in Noyo Harbor, home to our purple urchin ranch and research facility; the Discovery Center Science Museum, home to the Ocean Immersion Dome theatre and a variety of marine science exhibits; and the Crow’s Nest Interpretive Center on the Noyo Headlands which has an aquarium with live sea creatures. We will dissect squid, look through microscopes, and take a trip to sea on a local charter boat to connect with nature from a different perspective. This camp is great for campers ages 11 – 14 who love to spend time outside and dream up ways to help the Earth.

Camps are 10:00 am-3:00 pm each day.
