Welcoming of the Whales Saturday, April 11, 2026 7:00 AM - 8:30 AM Crow’s Nest Interpretive Center
Tribal members, whale scientists, local ocean lovers, and whale enthusiasts come together to greet and thank the whales for being our neighbors, and to recommit to being good neighbors and stewards of their environment, welcoming the whales as they return along our coast from their breeding grounds in Mexico.
A lunchtime community potluck at Xa Kako Dile will follow the whale welcome gathering, offering time to share food, stories, and connection as we celebrate the whales and our shared coastal home.
