Join us for a celebration of our local whales and the locals who study them as the gray and humpback whales return from Mexico to cruise along our coastline, some with newborn calves in tow. This community social centers on what’s happening right off our local shores during this part of their migration.

Enjoy informal information sharing with local experts, slide shows, fun whale-themed activities, food and drinks. Confirmed local experts include: Scott and Tree Mercer, Shari Goforth, Tanya Smart, Jeff Jacobsen, Sarah Grimes and Sarah Sundberg. As part of the Whale Migration Challenge, this evening offers a chance to get the inside scoop about this year’s migration trends, and to connect around the whales with the experts who study them in our own backyard.

We request a $10 minimum DONATION for your attendance, which supports the resources it takes to bring you these programs and speakers. Tamales, hearty appetizers, beer, wine and non-alcoholic drinks will be also available for sale at this event.
