Part Three of the Whale Migration Challenge speaker series.
Join award-winning marine photographer and whale researcher Jodi Frediani for an inspiring evening focused on whales and the rich marine life of our coast. Jodi will be here in person for a 45-minute science talk, followed by a live Q&A. Jodi will share stories and photographs exploring the rich biodiversity of the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary.
Come early for a social hour from 5–6 PM with food and drinks available for purchase, time to mingle, and a chance to see Jodi’s award-winning photographs up close. After the talk, stay to meet the author, learn more about whales and conservation, and purchase signed copies of Wild Monterey Bay.
An engaging, visual, and uplifting evening for whale lovers, photographers, and anyone curious about the ocean.
Jodi will also be signing copies of her book earlier in the day, on Saturday, March 21, at the Discovery Center, from 12-3 PM.

Jodi Frediani is a Santa Cruz-based internationally recognized, award-winning photographer and whale researcher, has been swimming with and photographing humpback whales on the Silver Bank off the coast of the Dominican Republic for over 20 years. In addition, she has been photographing the marine life of Monterey Bay for the past fifteen years.
